Global Design

The Global Design area allows you to make changes that effect the entire website. From this menu, you may modify the text, buttons, photos, background, and navigation widgets on your website. This enables you to make broad aesthetic changes quickly and efficiently, minimizing design time and ensuring that your site's style is consistent across all pages.

Modifications made to particular widgets or pages will override these global styles. We recommend that you choose a global design for your website before customizing the areas that you want to stand out or seem different from the rest.

Design Panel Overview

Click Design on the side panel to access the design panel.

When you access the design panel, the canvas is automatically shrunk to 50% view so that you can see the full canvas while altering the global design settings. Return to 100% canvas view by clicking the drop down in the top bar and selecting 100%. Preview mode also includes the option to zoom in and out.

Global Text

This section allows you to modify the Text Style of your site's text and titles of all sizes (H1 to H6). Change the font size, style, and colour for all future paragraph and header widget content. To learn more, see Global Text.

Global Colors

You can define a colour palette and link the individual colours to any or all widgets with colour settings using global colours. When the linked colour in the global colours settings is modified, the colour of any element that is related to the global colours is instantly updated. This enables you to make colour changes rapidly, reducing design time and ensuring your site's appearance is consistent across pages. Global Colors explains how to setup global colours.

Button Style

Image Style

This section allows you to modify the appearance of image widgets on your website. Select an image using the image picker, then add or modify the border style, rounded corners, and shadow effects.

Row Style

This section enables you to choose the global row design's background colour, default row spacing, and default column spacing.

Individual row edits will override global row settings.

Site Background

In this section, you can control the Background Style for your site. Choose a colour or an image to use as your background. Desktop and tablet are also affected by the changes.

Site Layout

Control the layout and navigation of the site on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. You can choose between 960px and 1200px for the desktop version.

When you change the layout of your navigation, it often changes how your header and sometimes the rest of your site works. If your header looks wrong after you change the layout, try another layout.
