Using HTML and Custom Code
The editor is versatile in that it allows you to alter current code as well as create your own. This allows you to enhance the platform's feature and gain access to new features. For example, you may add a custom calendar widget or even a third-party custom contact form to your site to accept payments.
This post will go through three alternative ways to add custom code to your website.
HTML Widget
The HTML widget is the simplest way to add custom code to your site.
Click Widgets in the left panel, then drag the
HTML widget onto a column or row on your site and put in your code.
Edit Custom Code
After you've added custom code using the HTML widget, click the widget in your editor to edit it.
However, owing to the nature of the code, it is not always possible to do so. In this scenario, you can choose the container to determine if the entire container can be edited (which will include the code).
Edit Inline Code
To change the code of anything on your website:
- To inspect the code of anything in your editor, right-click where you want to alter the code and then choose Edit HTML/CSS.
- The code editor appears for the code you're working on. Before you begin updating code, go to Documentation and read the documentation.
While you may alter the CSS in development mode, it is not recommended that you add any new selectors in this menu. You may easily add additional rules to selectors here. Please use developer mode when writing new CSS selectors.
Developer Mode
Within the editor, you may see the code for your complete site. Click /> in the upper right of your editor to view the code.
The code for your site is divided into parts to allow for further editing.
More information about developer mode may be found at
Developer Mode.
