Bulk Product Editor

Melody Jaimon • July 15, 2022

Using the Bulk Product Editor, you can mass update your store's products. This tool enables you to edit several product properties, such as the name, SKU, price, stock, shipping settings, and product variants.

To access the Bulk Product Editor, follow these steps:

  1. Click eCommerce in the editor's sidebar, followed by Manage Store.
  2. The Products page can be accessed by clicking Catalogue.
  3. On this page, you can immediately enable, disable, or delete chosen items and assign or remove categories in bulk.
  4. Select Bulk Update, then click Edit All. Select the goods you wish to change, click Bulk Update, and then click Edit Selected.

Using Bulk Product Editor, you can edit the following product properties:

  • Name
  • SKU
  • Availability
  • Price
  • “Compare at” price
  • Stock
  • Product quantity when the low stock notification is sent
  • Whether the product requires shipping or pickup
  • Weight
  • Dimensions (length, width, and height)

You can also edit up to 100 goods simultaneously.

Edit Product Properties

Once you choose products to modify and go to the Bulk Product Editor page, the products are shown in a table (as well as their variations). The products are the rows, and the properties of the products are the columns.

Choose the properties you want to change from the Columns menu on the left to add the corresponding columns to the table. Deselect the ones you don't need to make the table easier to work with. You can deselect everything except the Name column.

To edit a property for a specific product or product variation, do the following:

  1. Click on the property cell in the product or product variation row.
  2. Change what needs to be changed.
  3. Choose Save. Until you save the changes, a dot will appear next to the products you've changed.

When editing items individually on their product detail pages, you can change the properties that are not yet available in the Bulk Product Editor. Click Catalogue, then Products, and click Edit Product.

Tips and Shortcuts

In the table, you can edit the cells with a white background. Those cells with a grey background cannot be edited.

Click the column heading to sort the goods by this property.

By default, the Columns menu is extended, but you can always collapse it by clicking the Columns button to get additional editing space.

  • To choose a cell and enter keyboard navigation mode, press Tab.
  • Use the arrow keys (,,, or ) to go to the next/previous row/column cell (available after pressing Tab).
  • To insert changes into the cell and advance to the next cell in the column, press Enter. Additionally, you can press Enter to begin modifying the selected cell.
  • To delete the ongoing modifications to the cell, press Esc.

Instantly Update Product Accessibility

Without opening the Bulk Product Editor, you can easily enable, disable, or remove chosen products. For instance, if you wish to temporarily hide a temporary category or if you discontinue a product line permanently and need to erase the items, you can use this feature.

To instantly update certain products:

  1. Click eCommerce in the editor's sidebar, followed by Manage Store.
  2. The Products page can be accessed by clicking Catalogue.
  3. Select the goods you wish to modify, then click Update in Bulk.
  4. Choose either Enable or Disable or Delete Selected from the drop-down menu. Click Yes if you chose Delete Selected.

Changes are saved automatically.

Assign and Remove Categories in Bulk

You can assign or delete categories in bulk for chosen products immediately. For example, suppose you want to develop a new category system for your store.

Before it is possible to assign or delete categories, you must first establish at least one category in your store (in addition to the default category on the Store's home page).

To assign or delete multiple categories:

  1. Click eCommerce in the editor's sidebar, followed by Manage Store.
  2. The Products page can be accessed by clicking Catalog.
  3. Select the goods you wish to modify, select Bulk Update , and then click Assign or Remove Categories.
  4. Choose between categories in the list.
  5. Select Apply.

Changes are saved automatically. All selected products are assigned or deleted from the categories.
