Need a website that can fulfil your goals and your target audience's needs? Love My Online Marketing provides NDIS website design services tailored to the specific needs of your business. With nearly a decade of experience, we have helped many NDIS providers and non-providers streamline their processes, increase customer loyalty, and maximise their online presence among search engines.

If you're a provider working with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), it's important that you use the correct logo when promoting your services. However, if you are a non-provider offering advocacy and support to NDIS participants, it's important to understand the limitations regarding logo usage.

This guide will explain the different guidelines when for promoting NDIS as well as logo options available to providers (both registered and unregistered) and how to use them correctly. We will also include the entities and organisations who are prohibited from using the logo.

What is the official NDIS logo?

NDIS logo

The NDIS logo is a symbol that represents the National Disability Insurance Scheme. It is characterised by the white NDIS initials with a green dot on the letter i, surrounded by a purple background.

Who can use the logo?

The NDIA and NDIS logo can be used by registered NDIS providers to raise community awareness and promote their services to people with disability, their families and carers about the NDIS. This includes:

  • Providers of support services
  • Registered NDIS providers
  • National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) staff and contractors

The logo and acronym are both registered trademarks in the name of the NDIA. This means you can't use them unless the NDIA gives you permission. NDIS acronym cannot be used in a business or domain name as well.

  • Unregistered NDIS providers, organisations, businesses and individuals can use ‘I/we heart NDIS’ and ‘I/we support NDIS’ logos.

NDIS participants whose plan is self-managed or plan-managed can use unregistered NDIS providers in most circumstances.

  • A "self-managed plan" is where an NDIS participant or their plan nominee engages NDIS support and services themselves; while a "plan managed plan" is where an NDIS participant engages a registered NDIS provider to provide plan management services.

  • Registered NDIS providers can use ‘I/we heart NDIS’ and ‘I/we support NDIS’ logos, as well as the tagline, ‘Registered NDIS provider’.

Use by partners

The Agency maintains official contracts with our Community Partners, which includes local area coordinators and early childhood partners. These contracts outline co-branding protocols. You can access the PITC Communication Guidelines through our partner relationship managers.

Use by connectors

Connectors have the privilege to include a modified version of the NDIS logo on appropriate resources, including brochures, fact sheets, digital materials, and promotional items.

Use on social media

Using social media is an effective means to raise awareness about the NDIS. You can find valuable videos to share with your network on the NDIS Facebook page and YouTube channel. However, it's important to note that we do not reach out to groups that use the NDIS acronym into their Facebook name, such as 'I heart NDIS' and 'NDIS Grassroots.' We only contact groups that appear to represent the NDIA or may potentially violate trademark laws.

You can get the different NDIS logos here.

Who is not allowed to use the logo?

Non-providers are generally not allowed to use the NDIS logo without permission from the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA). The NDIS logo and acronym are registered trademarks owned by the NDIA, and authorised providers who have obtained the necessary permissions are the only ones allowed to use it.

Non-Providers include:

  • NDIS participants and their family members
  • Advocacy and support organisations
  • Government agencies
  • Healthcare providers
  • Educational institutions
  • Employers
  • Community and recreational organisations
  • Commercial enterprises

What to avoid when using NDIS logos?

Providers are not permitted to use the NDIS logo or acronym in any publicity material, including on vehicles, buildings, emails, stationery, business cards, and so on.

How to Display NDIS Logos

The NDIS logos should always be displayed in its entirety, with no alterations. There are no variations to the logo, so you should not change the colour, size or design of the logo. You should always display the logo on your website and other digital platforms.

Conclusion

Whether you are a provider or a non-provider, it's important to know and use the correct NDIS logo when promoting your services. The NDIA has strict guidelines for appropriate logo use, so make sure you follow them closely.

Google My Business (GMB) profiles are pivotal to local business SEO for several key reasons. Firstly, GMB enhances visibility in local search results, enabling businesses to appear prominently when potential customers search for relevant services or products in their area. This visibility is crucial as it directly connects businesses with local consumers actively seeking their offerings. Secondly, GMB profiles contribute to credibility and trust. A well-maintained profile with accurate information, positive reviews, and high-quality images assures potential customers of the business's legitimacy and quality. This can significantly influence their decision-making process, leading to increased traffic and sales. Additionally, GMB profiles improve engagement by providing essential business information at a glance, such as operating hours, contact details, and directions. Features like posts, Q&A, and review responses allow businesses to interact directly with their audience, fostering a stronger customer relationship and enhancing the overall customer experience. Finally, the data and insights gained from GMB analytics help businesses understand customer behavior, preferences, and trends, enabling them to refine their marketing strategies effectively. By leveraging these insights, businesses can optimize their online presence and improve their local SEO performance. If you have a suspended profile it is important to get it reinstated. To get your Google My Business (GMB) listing reinstated so you can post again, you need to follow these steps:
