Set a Default Site Language
If you're building a site in a language other than English, you can use the Site Language tool to translate certain elements into your target language. Simply select your target language, and the built-in text on various widgets will be instantly translated. The widget text has already been translated and cannot be changed.
This feature should not be mistaken for the
Multi-Language feature, which uses Google Translate to translate all content on the site. When you enable the Multi-Language, the default site language will be set automatically, the Site Language tab becomes inactive, and the modifications to the default language must be set using the Multi-Language feature.
To change the language of your website, follow these steps:
- Click Settings on the left side, then Site Language.
- Choose a language. Languages available include:

This feature affects the text in the following widgets:

- This feature only translates the above-mentioned texts and these texts are not editable.
- In the Content Editor, you may select a widget language for some widgets (for example, Business Hours and Cookie Notifications). If you chose a language for the widgets, that language will be retained until you change the Site Language.
