Keyboard Shortcuts

Shortcuts on the keyboard are groups of keys that, when pressed together, do certain things. Most of the time, you need to use a mouse to do these things, like right-clicking on a widget to copy it. By learning the editor's built-in keyboard shortcuts, you can save time and edit your site much more quickly.

If you are using a Mac, use the Command button instead of Ctrl. On a PC, for example, you type Ctrl+Alt+P to get to Preview. On a Mac, press Command, Alt, and P.

In-Editor Shortcuts

In the editor, the following keyboard shortcuts are available:

• Preview. Ctrl+Alt+P
• Open Dev Mode. Ctrl+Alt+C
• Open Original Site (if site is imported). Ctrl+O 
• Copy Element . Ctrl+C (while hovering over element).
• Paste Element:. Ctrl+V (Paste the copied element on top of the currently selected/hovered element).
• Undo. Ctrl+Z
• Redo. Ctrl+Y 
• Site backup. Ctrl+S
  

Text Editor Shortcuts

When editing text, the following keyboard shortcuts are available:

• Bold. Ctrl+B
• Italicize. Ctrl+I
• Underline. Ctrl+U
• Align Text. Ctrl+R, E, L
• Remove Text Formatting. Ctrl+0
  

Developer Mode Shortcuts

In developer mode, the following keyboard shortcuts are available:

• Find. Ctrl+F
• Search and replace. Ctrl+F + Ctrl+F
• Alt+Space. Enable autocompletion while typing
• Save. Ctrl+S
• Duplicate the line selected. Ctrl+Alt+UP
• Move Line Up. Alt+Up
• Go to line #. Ctrl+L
• Toggle comment Ctrl+/
  

Flex Shortcuts

In Flex, you can use the following keyboard shortcuts:

• Duplicate. Ctrl+D 
• Copy. Ctrl+C 
• Paste. Ctrl+V 
• Undo. Ctrl+Z 
• Redo. Shift+Ctrl+Z
• Move element backwards. Ctrl+[
• Move an element forward. Ctrl+]
• Elements can be moved anywhere on the canvas. Arrow keys on the keyboard, 1px per click
• Freely move elements on the canvas. Shift+arrows on the keyboard, 10px per click
• Site backup. Ctrl+S 
• Open up Search. Ctrl+K 
• Preview Mode. Ctrl+P 
• Publish. Ctrl+Shift+P
• Open widgets panel. Ctrl+Shift+F
• Open the site preview with the device you're using. Ctrl+Alt+T 
• Redo. Ctrl+Y
